VäterSummit 2025

In the organizer's words:

On Sunday, June 29, 2025, the adventure playground in Düsseldorf-Eller will be transformed into a lively meeting place for fathers, children and professionals from 10 am to 4 pm: The VäterSummit 2025 invites you to a day full of exchange, inspiration and fun.

Under the motto Adventure Fatherhood, the event offers a varied mix of keynotes, campfire talks, hands-on activities and information stands. The main topics are modern fatherhood, bonding from the very beginning and the fair distribution of care work (equal care).

The event will be opened with a welcome address by Lord Mayor Dr. Stephan Keller. Afterwards, visitors can experience the following program items, among others:

• Family midwife and midwifery scientist Jennifer Jaques-Rodney talks about the importance of early bonding
• Men's and fathers' counselor Heiner Fischer, invites you to a campfire talk about networking, new images of masculinity and fatherhood in transition
• Psychologist and men's counselor Björn Süfke gives insights into the topic of equal parenthood.

In addition, numerous actors such as the Kinderschutzbund, the Elternnetzwerk NRW and other initiatives will be presenting themselves at information stands and with activities to take part in. The youngest guests are also well catered for: the adventure playground offers space to run around, discover and join in - while the adults can exchange ideas and network.

The VäterSummit 2025 is a joint event of the Office for Equality and Anti-Discrimination of the City of Düsseldorf, the State Working Group for Fathers' Work NRW and the equal opportunities offices from Dortmund, Münster, Essen, Recklinghausen and Bonn.
