Veedels- und Demokratiefest at the Bürgerhaus Stollwerck

This year's Veedels- und Demokratiefest will take place on Saturday, 23.08.2025 at the Bürgerhaus Stollwerck. The celebration will be organized together with the Bürgerhaus' development association and with the support of the Sparkasse KölnBonn e.V. development association.
The event is the culmination of various activities taking place as part of the "Köln wählt Demokratie" (Cologne votes for democracy) project of the "Kölner Elf", the association of Cologne's community centers.
Visitors can expect a colorful program with something for everyone. In addition to activities for children and young people, there will also be a cultural program. Moderated by Helmut Frangenberg, the mayoral candidates of the parties represented in the city center will take part in a panel discussion and comment on general local political issues, but also on topics concerning the Veedel and the community centers.
The program is planned as follows:
14:00 - Opening
14:30 - Creative workshop
15:30 - Talk with the mayor candidates Moderation: Helmut Frangenberg
16:30 - Thilo Seibel / Cabaret
18-20 - Live music with "Buntes Herz"
The team of the Bürgerhaus and the Förderverein will set up a pop-up beer garden and a bouncy castle. Food trucks will provide for the physical well-being.
