Based on her own award-winning screenplay, Chiara Fleischhacker has created a remarkable feature film debut full of emotional power, hope and tenderness.

Jenny loves her boyfriend Bolle, with whom she is expecting a child. What means the greatest happiness for others triggers ambivalent feelings in Jenny, because life has previously put her through a lot. She has had run-ins with the law and the youth welfare office and her relationship with Bolle is increasingly suffering from their drug addiction. When the family midwife Marla is assigned to them, Jenny initially reacts dismissively. But contrary to expectations, Marla does not judge her, but sees her as the person she is at her core. Jenny begins to trust Marla. Gradually, she plucks up the courage to face her fears and take responsibility - for the new life inside her, but above all for herself.
