What else is there to know...

VENUES was formed in 2015 as BREAK DOW A VENUE in Stuttgart. The band was founded that year by Constantin Ranis and Chrisi "Nyves" Krithinidou. In 2015, the band debuted with their self-produced and self-titled EP "Break Down A Venue", while two years later the name was changed to the current name VENUES. In April 2018, the band was signed by ARISING EMPIRE, after which they released their debut album "Aspire" in June of that year.

Musically, the band originally comes from post-hardcore. However, it also includes many elements from genres such as pop, alternative and rock. Lela has been the successor to Nyves since 2021. The new album "Solace" was released in August 2021. The step from "Aspire" to "Solace" is big, but understandable. VENUES have finally become a band, a cohesive unit, completed by new guitarist Valentin and fueled by zeitgeist, drive and depth. "Our music helps us to process difficult and painful topics. It comforts us, gives us strength," outlines Lela. "Just writing songs about anything is simply not an option." Nice exception: "Whydah Galley", probably the world's first modern metal pirate song.
