On the anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp, the Hamburg-Nord district assembly organizes the annual "Week of Remembrance" series of events. It stands for the joint remembrance of the victims of the Shoah and against forgetting the National Socialist tyranny. The program of events with tours, readings, concerts and more runs from 22 January to 13 March 2025 throughout the district. On January 27, the week of remembrance will kick off with a ceremony in the conference room of the district office, which will also be broadcast live.
