Verleihung der Bayrischen Poetentaler

The award ceremony will take place as part of an entertaining and colorful gala, at which not only the honorees, but also a number of Turm writers, including cabaret artists Franziska Wanninger and Wolfgang Ludwig Müller, will perform. The award - also referred to by the press as the "Bavarian Pour le mérite" - has been presented annually since 1961 by the Munich Tower Writers to personalities and institutions who have rendered outstanding services to art and culture in Bavaria. Previous winners include Marieluise Fleißer, Eugen Roth, Ernst Hoferichter, Gert Heidenreich, Michael Ende, Ottfried Preußler, Janosch, Konstantin Wecker, Haindling, Fredl Fesl, Dieter Hildebrandt, Bruno Jonas, Gerhard Polt, Biermösl Blosn, Frank M. Barwasser (Pelzig), Werner Herzog, Marcus H. Rosenmüller and many more.
