Vernissage „Angekommen? Hamburger Migrationsgeschichte(n) ab 1945“

In the organizer's words:

Hamburg is a city of immigration. Today, around 40% of Hamburg residents have a so-called "migration background". For the exhibition "Arrived?", nine history workshops have set out in search of migration history(ies) from 1945 onwards in their district. The approach of the individual history workshops is from different perspectives - but they all have the same goal: they want to enter into a dialog with immigrants and document their migration history(ies) as long as there is no central location for this in the immigration city of Hamburg.

As part of the exhibition opening, the teacher and education activist Gloria Boateng will read from her book "Alone in Gyaamani" and enter into conversation with the audience.
