The art of the Altona graphic artist and painter Elga Voss, who has a studio in a converted school in Lassahn am Schaalsee, is difficult to describe. Using a variety of different materials and artistic forms of expression, in which photography, painting, calligraphy, sculpture, drawing and painting are combined in ever new ways, Elga Voss engages in an artistic examination and transformation of what is difficult to understand.
Hidden messages, symbols and signs to be deciphered, transformed into flowing forms and colors. Sea symbols, fragments, the cosmos of the I Ching, all this is transformed and reshaped by Elga Voss, the symbolic becomes concrete, the concrete becomes abstract. It is always about a search for traces, transformations, constant change and the moment when everything tips over - the tipping point. On her very personal artistic journey, Elga Voss opens up completely new worlds to viewers, inviting them to immerse themselves in them and to refuse to be impatient.
