The exhibition "FLEURS" shows a series of painted portraits depicting mystical and surreal figures in a world of flowers. These figures merge with an environment of flowers to create a hypnotic and immersive effect. The inspiration for the works comes from various fields such as advertising, fashion photography, music, cinema, video as well as classical and figurative painting.
The artist was born in 1962 in Hayange, a working-class settlement in the French department of Moselle, which is characterized by Italian immigrants and steel workers. He studied art in Metz and later worked there as a lecturer. Parallel to his professional career as a director and head of the graphics and design department at the Arte television channel, he always pursued his passion for painting. Since 2018, he has been devoting himself more intensively to art again and is continuously creating new works.
