The Munich International Documentary Film Festival is celebrating its 40th anniversary. Accompanying the festival, the exhibition shows impressions and festival posters from past editions.
Since 1985, documentary film has been bringing people together in Munich, touching, amusing and enlightening them; it promotes diverse intercultural exchange. Every year, numerous international film highlights, intensive film discussions and a comprehensive supporting program provide insights into the most diverse stories and living environments.
DOK.fest Munich has been shaping the cityscape for 40 years. The photographs shown by the festival photographers and the design of the festival posters reflect people, fashions, venues and a piece of Munich's infrastructure history.
