Ausstellung Harriet Schlosshauer

In the organizer's words:

"Nudes, branches, abstractions"
Drawings and collages by Harriet Schlosshauer

In this exhibition, Harriet Schlosshauer presents a multi-layered interplay of line, form and material.
The artist combines figurative and organic elements with an experimental materiality that blurs the boundaries between sketch and image.

Ten collages made from self-painted Chinese paper explore the power of layering in both natural and artificial environments. The oil pastel nude sketches, which capture the gestures of the female body in reduced, almost fleeting lines, are quite different. They are juxtaposed with 16 small oil pastel sketches of trees, quick notations of nature that capture the essence of a branch, a crown, a growth with just a few strokes.

Together, the works refer to a central principle: the balance between reduction and expression, between construction and intuition.
