Vernissage mit Heike Simmer

In the organizer's words:

Heike Simmer is interested in the dynamic play with ambivalences. Her painting oscillates between abstraction and figuration, complexity and clarity, chaos and harmony. She follows an intuitive working process consisting of intervals of different techniques and tempos. Canvases are often large so that they can oppose the body. Quickly superimposed areas of color form the foundation for subsequent drawings. One form determines the next, everything is in constant interaction. Monochrome surfaces bring calm, while underlying layers remain like an invisible pulsating fabric that holds everything together. Picture titles are final mind games and give diffuse hints.
