Vernissage MOVERS

We are opening the photo exhibition MOVERS with pictures by Simone Demandt with a public vernissage: you are invited to view the brand new exhibition (16.5. to 30.11.2025) in the presence of the artist.

Simone Demandt photographed long-distance truck drivers in highway parking lots between 2017 and 2021. The photographs were taken in a specially set up open-air studio. The artist and the drivers communicated in seven Eastern European languages with the help of a booklet and three interpreters present. These encounters resulted in a series of analog black and white portraits. A selection of these portraits can be seen in the MOVERS exhibition at the Dresden Transport Museum.

You can start or end the evening with snacks, drinks and the sound of guitarist Gianluca Caliva in the atrium of the Transport Museum.
