The Van Look Foundation is awarding the Van Look Prize for Fine Arts for the fifth time in memory of the Freiburg artist Hans-Günther van Look (1939-2007). Previous winners have been Andreas von Ow, Zora Kreuzer, Uta Pütz and Vika Prokopaviciute. The prize is financed not only by donations, but above all by renting out paintings from the artist's estate. Thanks to this unique concept, tenants become patrons of contemporary art(www.vanlook-stiftung.de).
