The vernissage "Art that lasts" brings together memory and art: On display are salvaged wall fragments from the former Leipzig Technical City Hall - once the largest mural in Germany, designed by Leipzig artist Michael Fischer-Art.
Kunstfreiheit invites visitors to the tradition-steeped Specks Hof, where art meets the city's history. The passage becomes a resonating space for discussions, memories and perspectives:
What happens to art as the city changes? How can fragments preserve history?
