VfL Gummersbach - Füchse Berlin

In previous years, VfL Gummersbach regularly played its season matches at the LANXESS arena. Since 2012, however, only one match of the Bundesliga handball team - against Bergischer HC in 2016 - has taken place in Cologne-Deutz. Now, eight years later, the team led by DHB star Julian Köster will return to Germany's largest multifunctional arena: on Boxing Day, December 26, 2024, VfL will host Füchse Berlin in the cathedral city on the Rhine.

A successful 2023/24 season came to an end for VfL Gummersbach on the first weekend of June with an excellent sixth place. However, the first highlights of the upcoming 2024/25 season are already casting their shadows ahead. In addition to participating in the qualification for the EHF European League, the focus is on the highlight match in the DAIKIN Handball Bundesliga. On Thursday, December 26, 2024, VfL Gummersbach will play its Christmas match against the top-class Füchse Berlin team led by world star Mathias Gidsel in Cologne's LANXESS arena.

From Wednesday, 26.06.2024, at 12.00 noon, the advance sale for additional tickets to season ticket holders will start. They have already integrated their own ticket for the highlight game into their 2024/25 season ticket and will have exclusive access to additional tickets for one week. All season ticket holders will be allocated a block in the lower tier of the LANXESS arena according to their block in the SCHWALBE arena Gummersbach at the start of advance sales. In order to enable season ticket holders to sit together with friends and family for whom they have purchased additional tickets, there is free seating in these blocks.

The general advance sale starts one week later, on Wednesday, 03.07.2024, at 12.00 noon.
