Guest performance by the "Komödie am Altstadtmarkt"
When two people have "two left hands", that makes four left hands and also a nice comedy title. Yet everything is actually fine with the hands of the two main characters - they just have trouble reconciling their hearts and minds. The well-known comedy by French author Pierre Chesnot tells the story of Sophie and the extremely conservative and reclusive bachelor Bertrand. On her birthday, Sophie wants to put an end to her dreary existence with the help of an overdose of sleeping pills and a full bathtub. But the plan is a complete failure! In the end, the overflowing bath water even floods the apartment of the single man living below her ... and that's how the two protagonists of this comedy meet. What follows is a highly amusing and witty exchange of blows between two people who can't live with each other, but can't stand it for long without each other either. In any case, endless laughter is guaranteed in this amusing battle of the sexes.
We are looking forward to the guest performance of the Komödie am Altstadtmarkt with this illustrious cast - Florian Battermann, director of the Braunschweig Komödienhaus, to whom we also owe the comedy "OMA WIRD VERKAUFT" as an author, for example, and Eva Habermann, known from film and television. The premiere was met with great acclaim by the Braunschweig press:
"A groovy battle of the sexes - the journey is the destination and this journey to the happy ending is highly amusing: because the two actors bring an unleashed playfulness, the chemistry between them is right, because the timing and pace are on point and the gags are neither flat nor obscene." (Braunschweiger Zeitung, 13.04.2024)
"Drama queen with a jackhammer - "Vier linke Hände" stands and falls with the actors, who engage in a dialog-rich exchange of blows for over 100 minutes. Eva Habermann and Florian Battermann complement each other perfectly and rouse the premiere audience to minutes of applause." (Neue Braunschweiger, 20.04.24)
