The band's incredible story begins in the mid-nineties, when the group was still called 4bob and felt at home in crossover rock. As the name changed, so did the band's style. Based on the progressive rock of the 70s, but much grungier, fresher and more laid-back.
Crisp guitar riffs and the strong voice of Mykem Weppler define the unmistakable sound. With occasional excursions into the world of blues, funk and pop - beyond the usual prog rock clichés - the five musicians created a modern sound with a high addictive factor with their first album "Casino Steril".
Sometimes with a trashy, cheeky light-footedness, sometimes with poetic depth - true to the motto "go with the flow" - the band skillfully fuses virtuosity with earthy rock'n'roll.
After a creative break, the boys are now back on tour with new songs and a much sharper coming-of-age profile. Anyone who has ever seen Violet Pilot live will know that the chemistry between the musicians is not only right on stage. This infectious energy is inevitably transferred to their audience.
