The combination of classical fidelity and experimental band feeling is not a breakneck balancing act, but lived musicality. The vision string quartet proves this absolutely convincingly. With their fresh approach to the great masterpieces of the string quartet literature, the four musicians have long since played their way to the top internationally. However, their "vision" also includes broadening their stylistic horizons and integrating arrangements from pop and jazz to their own pieces into their programs. Shostakovich's eighth quartet, in which the composer quotes himself with the motto derived from the first letters of his first name and surname, is played in harmony with the quartet's own compositions from the album "Spectrum".
