Leibniz meets AI: living the diversity of AI

On September 22, Leibniz Universität Hannover will open its doors for a groundbreaking new event: Visions4AI. It is time to give new impetus to artificial intelligence (AI) for the Hannover region, Lower Saxony and the whole of Germany. To survive in the new age of AI, we need to build on our existing strengths while boldly reinventing ourselves.

Visions4AI is not about empty marketing phrases or dry scientific lectures. Short, concise impulses will present the visions for AI from true luminaries in their respective fields. It will be a journey through the impressive possibilities that AI already offers today and will enable in the future.

This year, a variety of highly relevant topics related to AI will be highlighted:

• Communication
• School
• healthcare
• robotics
• Climate
• Language technologies

The day begins at 16:30 with admission to the Welfenschloss and the opening at 17:00. The program includes two sessions, each with several keynote speeches. Between the lecture sessions, there will be extensive opportunities for networking, accompanied by snacks and refreshments, as well as poster and demonstrator presentations by members of Leibniz Universität Hannover, who will present current AI research results. This will also provide extensive networking opportunities to exchange ideas with other thought leaders, experts and interested parties. As the grand finale, there will be a spectacular laser show at around 8:15 pm.

This pioneering event is being organized by Leibniz Universität Hannover with the active support of the Institute for AI, the Institute for Information Processing and the L3S AI Center. Lord Mayor Onay has kindly taken over the patronage, which underlines the importance of this event for the region.
