A timeless classic

Almost 300 years after its composition, Vivaldi's violin concerto "The Four Seasons" is still a highlight of classical music. The work, which has been popular since the time of King Louis XV, remains the best-selling classical music CD today. Its enduring success is based on a unique balance between richness of detail and harmonic beauty, between the solo violin and the string orchestra that creates the background for the seasons. Violin soloist Angelika Lichtenstern and her Nymphenburg String Soloists now present one of the best-known and most popular interpretations of the masterpiece and have already delighted thousands of visitors.
