Looking ahead to their upcoming concerts in 2025, the VKB Band welcomes singer-songwriter and guitarist Kirsten Thien, whose modern blues sound draws from the depths of old-school American soul and the driving force of roots rock'n'roll. Kirsten's dynamic voice encompasses a wide emotional spectrum, ranging from lush softness to raw power. Her performances are characterized by confidence and integrity.

She brings her sonic sweetness and strong musicality to the mix, melding effortlessly with VKB vocalists and multi-instrumentalists Amanda Homi and Rachelle Garniez, whose continued dedication and creative vision preserve the original essence of the group's adventurous spirit and irresistible style.

VKB's third album, "Crooked Little Heart", recorded in New York City, continues the story of the group's exclusive relationship with the songs of Tom Waits. The past three years of performing on stages across Europe and the US, fighting through the constraints of the pandemic era, have given them a new appreciation for the unadulterated beauty and power of their sound - as well as an immediately affecting quality to their music that is reflected in the warmth and intimacy of the recordings.

They redefine the Tom Waits songbook with love, bringing a unique female perspective to the rough and rugged wreckage. The mythic, roguish male archetypes - beat poets, railroad hobos, sloppy drunks, cynics and hopeless romantics - the leads in Waits' narratives, are transformed, their beauty and vulnerability revealed. Melodies burst forth and shine like polished diamonds - no longer in the rough.

After a very successful tour in Germany, Finland and Austria in January 2025, the band set off for India for the first time and returned with many new impressions. Concerts and festivals in Europe in summer 2025 as well as an extensive club tour in September 2025 make VKB one of the most successful female bands in America.
