Starling, cormorant or chiffchaff: have you always wondered which bird is singing, swimming or flying? The bird world of Kaltehof not only offers many opportunities to hear birds, but also to see them - water birds on the former filter basins as well as songbirds in the trees.
The tour takes you across the grounds of the waterworks and into the Holzhafen nature reserve. After the plant was closed in 1990, the birds returned to the island. Over 40 different bird species can be spotted here.
The ornithological tour is aimed at beginners interested in birdwatching and anyone who would like to explore the bird life of Kaltehof.
Please note: You will need your own binoculars for the tour. It is possible to borrow binoculars (limited number) - please register in advance! Borrowing binoculars: 5,- €.
The tour will not take place in heavy rain. All participants should be dressed appropriately for the weather conditions; this also includes adequate sun protection.
