In the organizer's words:

Voices - from Gregorian chant to Gershwin

Music by Bach, Handel, Mozart, Puccini, Verdi,
Wagner, Lehár, Gershwin and many more.
With food and drink on offer during the breaks

The human voice is one of the oldest and most versatile instruments known to mankind. It has the ability to express emotions, tell stories and connect communities. It is therefore not surprising that the voice was named Instrument of the Year this year. And what could be more fitting than to celebrate it in all its facets for an entire evening?

In a wide range of arias, duets and choral works from the St. Matthew Passion, from operas by Georg Friedrich Händel, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Giacomo Puccini, Giuseppe Verdi, the "Abendsegen" from Hansel and Gretel, the Vilja song from "Merry Widow" by Franz Lehár to "Summertime" from "Porgy and Bess" by George Gershwin and other highlights from the last centuries, epochs and musical styles, we pay homage to singing on this evening. The singers will be accompanied by a string quintet and a pianist, and the evening will be hosted by Mike Steurenthaler. And for your culinary enjoyment during the two breaks, we have a range of drinks and finger food on offer.
