Vokalrausch – Choir Edition

Leipzig is in a vocal frenzy again! For the 6th time, choirmaster and a cappella veteran Daniel Barke is organizing his euphoric festival of modern vocal art. While the focus has always been on a cappella bands, this time the sixth edition of the festival night is dedicated exclusively to choirs and traditionally ranges between jazz, pop and contemporary music.

LYPE As an innovative fusion of LEIPZIG and HYPE, the newly founded contemporary choir LYPE brings together experienced singers aged between 20 and 50 and is dedicated to complex contemporary pop music, some of which was written by choirmaster Daniel Barke.

WESTKLANG Founded in 2016 by Karin Grabein, the pop choir Westklang has long been in the creative hands of choirmaster Diana Labrenz (and occasionally also in those of beatboxer Elmar Kühn). .

CHORNFELD The jazz choir Chornfeld under the direction of Virginie Ongyerth has long been an integral part of the Leipzig choir scene.

YOUNG VOICES BRANDENBURG Although they are a best-of ensemble of the most talented young voices in the state of Brandenburg, they celebrate one thing above all on stage: unity and friendship.
