Volksbank Münster Marathon 2025: Information about the running event in Münster

On September 21, 2025, the popular Volksbank Münster Marathon will enter the next round. The start is at 09:00 on the central Schlossplatz Münster, directly in front of the baroque palace - one of the most beautiful starting locations for a city marathon in Germany. Thousands of runners and spectators can expect a varied route through the old town, the green surrounding countryside and atmospheric districts.

In addition to the classic 42.195-kilometre marathon, there is also a relay marathon, the 28-kilometre alarm clock run, the Stadtwerke Kids Marathon and shorter distances such as the 10-kilometre charity run and the 6-kilometre health run. There is something for everyone - from ambitious runners to recreational runners.

The event thrives on its special atmosphere: live music, street parties along the route, motivating spectators and a spectacular finish at Prinzipalmarkt make the marathon a real experience.
