They are among the best of their generation: VOLO is the large ensemble of saxophonist Sofia Will, who won the 2024 Jazzfest Bonn Sponsorship Award as an outstanding young artist. Will is now coming to the Pantheon for her award-winning concert. She will be presenting her album Moguntia on stage for the first time, complemented by compositions created exclusively for this evening. Will skillfully uses the expressive possibilities of all the instruments at her disposal and weaves them into an organic whole. In this way, the inner micro-worlds of the musicians involved become part of a flourishing macrocosm. Fascination from the very first note!

Southern Europe's saxophone star Stefano di Battista has always had a soft spot for the Italian songbook. On his latest album La Dolce Vita, he immerses himself in the golden pop era of his homeland. With classics such as "Tu Vuò Fa L'Americano", "La Dolce Vita" or the immortal "Volare", Di Battista demonstrates his ability to reinterpret familiar melodies in a surprising way. Born in Rome and Parisian by choice, he has released several albums on Blue Note and played with legends such as Michel Petrucciani, Elvin Jones and Kenny Barron. At the Pantheon, he provides musical entertainment at the highest level with his flying fingers and his brilliantly swinging quintet.
