Von den Nullerjahren bis heute - Szenische Lesung mit Lars Werner

In the organizer's words:

Lars Werner, known as co-author of the NDR radio play series Am Schlick, takes us on a journey through two decades of social and political upheaval. Using text passages from his debut novel Zwischen den Dörfern auf hundert and his current play Die ersten hundert Tage, he spans an arc from the East German youth subculture of the noughties to a dystopian vision of the future.

While Zwischen den Dörfern auf hundert traces the world of an alternative youth between punk, queer experiences and right-wing violence, Die ersten hundert Tage takes a gloomy look at a future in which an extreme right-wing government has taken over Germany.

The reading followed by a discussion is part of the event series "Democracy in Discourse", sponsored by the GoVote Democracy Fund.
