In 1989, Max, Stefan, Katja, Thomas, Nicole and Daniela were still children in the GDR. In 1990, they became teenagers in a foreign country - a resettlement on the spot. Images of friends and enemies changed from one day to the next and the freedom they gained cost them their homeland.

Director Nora Raetsch, who herself grew up in the GDR, lets representatives of the third generation of East Germany have their say and tells with depth and cheerfulness about the upheavals of the reunification period and the insights that this life experience brings with it.

Following the film, we invite you to a small discussion before the evening comes to a pleasant end at around 6 pm with an East-West buffet.
