Anti-Semitism and anti-Semitic conspiracy narratives are widespread in Turkey in the most diverse - also antagonistic - camps. "Jewish masterminds" are often blamed for economic or political crises. In some circles, political opponents are defamed as "Jewish" or accused of being "puppets of Jewish circles". Corry Guttstadt will shed light on this phenomenon.

The media, which are largely in the hands of groups close to the government after twenty years of AKP rule, play a decisive role in the spread of anti-Semitism. Historical dramas convey "historical knowledge" during prime time, such as the series Payitaht Abdülhamid, broadcast from 2017 to 2021 on the state broadcaster TRT 1. Based on her detailed investigation, Aysel Özdilek illustrates the openly anti-Semitic character of the series.
