"Psychology and society: structural problems and their consequences for the psyche"
Content: The lecture will focus on the influence of structural problems on mental health. It will show how different mechanisms of inequality in society, such as neoliberalism, classism, racism, etc., can influence individual well-being. Through a critical examination of psychotherapeutic scope for action against the background of such structural challenges, the extent to which therapeutic approaches are effective and appropriate will be questioned. The aim of the lecture is to create a deeper understanding of the complex relationships between social structures and mental health and to encourage people to reflect on their own perspectives.
Lecture: Luca-Leander Wolz (he/him) // Brynja
