Modern mammoth hunters: The North Sea as a treasure trove for palaeontology and archaeology

The event marks the start of a new series on topics relating to prehistory and local history. On March 29, 2025, Dick Mol, an internationally renowned expert on extinct mammals from the Ice Age, will give a lecture at the Museumzen-trum Quadrat.
In addition to the finds of Ice Age animals in north-western Europe, Dick Mol will for the first time discuss artifacts from the Middle Palaeolithic that have come to light at various sites in the North Sea and document that humans were also part of the mammoth fauna.
