Our world is populated by many curious creatures, including some that look like a crazy mix of different animals. One of the most unusual hybrid creatures is the Australian platypus with its waterproof fur, webbed feet, duck bill and beaver tail. The platypus also lays eggs. Although the young are not suckled, they still take in milk. The male narwhal has a single tusk up to 3 meters long, which was long considered proof that unicorns really exist. In the Amazon jungle there are lobed basilisks that can walk on water and immortal hydras live in the pond on our doorstep. This colorful evening lecture introduces the most curious hybrid creatures that exist on earth.
