"Seven festival cities - seven jury members - seven films" is the motto of this competition section, which focuses on European (co-)productions. The film selected by the seven-member jury from Berlin, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Cologne, Munich, Nuremberg and Stuttgart will be awarded the FEAR GOOD AWARDS and announced at the end of the festival.

Wake Up

A special event is planned for tonight: Armed with buckets of animal innards, a group of activists will secretly demolish a huge department store after closing time - a strong protest against the deforestation of the rainforest and the barbaric extinction of species! The fact that a security guard with a massive aggression problem is assigned to the night shift on this particular evening, and that the bad-tempered Kevin is also an enthusiastic hunter in his spare time, soon proves to be the maximum possible disaster for the team.

After their genre comedies TURBO KID and WE ARE ZOMBIES, the directing trio RKSS switch to the hard slasher - and with plenty of grit! Their promising premise "woke young generation fighting psychopathic hillbillies" truly spares no one and entertains with creative killing methods and thrills right up to the consequent finale.
