Nature walk by NaTourWissen in the northern Eilenriede at the Oststadt. Hear about the forest in climate change, its importance as our city's air conditioning system, its contribution to the global carbon balance, its behavior in dry and wet conditions and its most valuable treasure, the forest floor. As Hanover's urban forest, the Eilenriede is confronted with different demands for use. How can all this be reconciled with a forest that is as close to nature as possible? Our understanding of the forest is characterized by a romantic image from the 19th century. Is this idea still relevant today? Come along, find out and join in the discussion about the forest as you want it to be. Duration approx. 1.5 hours.
