The documentary "Deep Rising" was released in 2023 and is directed by Canadian documentary filmmaker Matthieu Rytz, with Jason Momoa as narrator and executive producer. With breathtaking footage of the deep sea's most dazzling creatures, it takes viewers on an epic journey into the deepest depths of our ocean - the most unexplored and inaccessible place on our planet. It is a gripping tale of geopolitical, corporate and scientific intrigue, revealing the inner workings of the International Seabed Authority (ISA), the United Nations organization that oversees nearly half of our planet's seabed surface. The film also provides extensive access to Gerard Barron, CEO of The Metals Company (TMC), and shows the close relationship between ISA leadership and the industry.
