When bands release their fifth album, the sound is usually defined. It may still sound good, and fans will probably enjoy it, but the days of adventure and exploration are often long gone. But Warmduscher aren't like most bands. Instead of closing up store, they open up to the magical Too Cold To Hold on album number five - quite determinedly. They take the repetitive and polyrhythmic grooves of gqom (a seductive South African variant of house music), add a dash of hip-hop and even jazz and combine this with their punk-funk-disco-pogo.

The result is a fascinating mix that produces their best and most ambitious album to date. You could say that they - the marvelous 12-legged groove machine consisting of Clams Baker Jr, Benjamin Romans Hopcraft, Adam J. Harmer, Marley Mackey, Quinn Whalley and Bleu Ottis Wright - are really just getting started.
