A performance of strange gestures, dreamlike musical objects, handmade animation and darkness that dares to touch the wound that shapes masculinities.
On this evening, the audience becomes part of a fragile in-between space in which two men do something they have never done before: Dancing. They dance an unusual dance - more than that, they trace the dance. The piece deals with the handling of feelings in a male-centered culture:
"You follow the gestures and movements of an older and a younger man. Perhaps you see father and son in the men, perhaps past and present, perhaps you see two sides of the same person. Perhaps you recognize in their strange gestures a projection screen for your own feelings and stories. Perhaps you recognize your own fear of not being able to grasp inner states precisely."
Under the direction of the Brazilian transdisciplinary artist Pedro H. Risse, a collage of fantastic images and sounds based on real events is created. In an almost dreamlike, hypnotizing language, strange, complex gestures are created - collected from the artist's own intimate movements. The bed - probably the most mysterious object of everyday life - becomes a musical instrument, a harp and an organ in the stage set. Handmade animated images are created between the world of the individual and that of the collective. The language of dreams, filled with silence and shadows, tells of connection and division - and of dancing to one's own music.
