In her only self-produced film, Ruth Weyher plays the wife of a bankrupt night editor who secretly performs as a vaudeville dancer to alleviate his financial misery. Her stuffy husband, however, believes she has inherited from a rich aunt. When the supposedly dead aunt suddenly appears on the doorstep, a turbulent game of hide-and-seek begins ... This quirky comedy combines fast-paced entanglements with a message about gender equality.

An audio description for the visually impaired was created during the restoration, which was nominated for the German Audio Film Award in 2025. Before the film, Oliver Hanley and Barbara Fickert will talk about the painstaking work involved in the restoration and the audio film version and show rare film footage from Ruth Weyher's estate.
