The Landesarbeitsgemeinschaft Soziokultureller Zentren NRW e.V. (Soziokultur NRW) has been the professional representative of sociocultural centers in North Rhine-Westphalia since 1982. Its task is to improve the framework conditions for cultural diversity in North Rhine-Westphalia, pool interests, facilitate funding, publicly present the potential of socioculture and take a position on current cultural policy issues.

One focus of its work is the allocation of funding from the state of NRW in various program lines.

Member centers primarily benefit from concept funding, investment funding and the programs "Cooperation between Sociocultural Centers and Municipal Cultural Institutions" and "Cultural Education in Sociocultural Practice".

In the "General project funding and transcultural work" program, sociocultural initiatives and artists can also apply for funding for projects that incorporate everyday life into cultural work and focus on the interactions between art, culture and society.
