Has this ever happened to you: you have inherited or found an old book and have no idea whether it is worth anything and what you should do with it? Books are always a cultural object, so throwing them away is not an option. You can find out whether you have a rarity in your hands and what value your books have at the German Museum of Books and Writing. Bring your good books (please no more than 2-3 copies per person) to the museum reading room. Together with the head of the museum's book collections up to 1900, we will discuss how the value of an old book can be determined. Owners will also learn about specific features and the saleability of their treasures.
