Water is like love. Too little and we sink. Too much and we sink. Water is life and death. No green without blue. The future of cities (i.e. humanity) stands and falls with the "blue-green infrastructure". We are increasingly living with "heavy rainfall events" and flooding. But also with heat, drought and water shortages. Water out of the cities! No, water in! Both are true. Keyword sponge city. But it's about much more. Let's call it a water turnaround. As a professor at the Institute of Landscape Architecture at LUH, Antje Backhaus specializes in blue-green infrastructure. Stephan Köster, Professor of Urban Water Management at LUH, also has many good ideas. But the implementation, he groans. Can Backhaus, co-owner of the "Gruppe F" office, turn theory into practice?
