This conversation in motion embarks on a tour of the exhibition Forgive Us Our Trespasses, with a particular focus on artworks that evoke an oceanic, aquatic or fluid sensibility in the Mrinalini Mukherjee Hall. The conversation explores the different layers of meaning, memory and imagination associated with water - politically, spiritually and aesthetically. Together with the artists Esvin Alarcón Lam, Babá Murah, Tanja Ostojić and Sim Chi Yin, Water Floats, Water Flows invites the audience to swim against the current of invisible boundaries that characterize social spaces in everyday life, to resist the constraints of normativity and to transcend them. The conversation concludes with Babá Murah's Camdonblé singing and storytelling around the altar he created, where Yamanja, the Orixá of the sea and motherhood, is invoked.

The conversation closes with Babá Murah's Camdonblé song and story-telling around his altar, summoning the Orixá of sea and motherhood, Yamanja.
