You've never experienced this at a WDR 2 house party before: for the party legend's big birthday, you can expect a guest appearance by the WDR Funkhausorchester. The ensemble of over fifty musicians will catapult you on a journey through time with disco hits from the past decades. On Saturday, September 27, 2025, the WDR 2 moderation team Marco Schreyl and Michelle Fausten will welcome you together with DJ Stephan and VJ Saw at the Rhein Sieg Forum in Siegburg. This much is certain: We're celebrating - with drums and trumpets too. Be there!

WDR Funkhausorchester meets Taylor Swift, Bon Jove and Ed Sheeran

When over 50 musicians take up the trombone, violin, clarinet and timpani under the watchful eye of chief conductor David Brophy at the opening of the party, Taylor Swift meets Bon Jovi, Ed Sheeran meets Whitney Houston and Lady Gaga meets Nirvana. VJ SAW will enchant the dance floor with his live-mixed projections as we travel back in time through the last decades of disco hits. For this spectacular highlight at the WDR 2 house party, the ensemble has arranged many hits especially for the anniversary. It's going to be a party - which will of course continue after the performance of the WDR Funkhausorchester with DJ Stephan.

Dancing, gossiping, dreaming

Dancing, gossiping, dreaming - anything goes in the oversized Moderatoen flat share. The living room becomes a club, the bedroom a stage for crazy selfies. Gossip with the WDR 2 moderation team Marco Schreyl and Michelle Fausten over a beer in the shared kitchen or make fun of the photo campaign! Play party sports at the WDR 2 Liga Live table football or recharge your batteries on the sofa for the dance floor. The Rhein Sieg Forum will provide you with delicious snacks and drinks.
