WDR 5 Kabarettfest

Presenter Martin Zingsheim shares the stage with a multi-faceted ensemble on this evening.
Lars Reichow is the "pianist" among cabaret artists. His astute and often musically accompanied observations on political and social life always provide intelligent entertainment. His new program "Boomerland" is already in the starting blocks.
Anna Mateur is an exceptional artist with an incomparable voice. In her performances, she combines cynical satire with impressive music and quirky humor that sometimes seems almost Dadaist. In her current program "Kaoshüter" she also takes a clear stand against fascism.
Sebastian 23 is perhaps the most versatile "cap" on the German cabaret scene. This year saw the publication of his new book "Alles wird gut - Die Welt retten in 5712 einfachen Schritten" (Everything will be fine - Saving the world in 5712 simple steps) and this title sums up his stage art very aptly. He packs his stories about the world's crises and dilemmas with sharp wit and optimism.
He is also joined by a qualified psychologist - but Kathi Wolf is much more than just the "best slap". With great charm and wit, the actress humorously dissects the small and large psychological quirks of modern man.
