WDR 5 cabaret festival from Oberhausen

Humor with attitude at the Ebertbad cabaret festival in Oberhausen. The evening will be hosted by award-winning cabaret artist Nessi Tausendschön, with her mixture of poetry, music and pointed satire. With Herbert Knebel, Teresa Reichl, Friedemann Weise and Thilo Seibel

The evening's guests include Herbert Knebel, the retired pundit with cult status. With dry Ruhrpott charm and unerring timing, he shines with stories from the living room swamp, observations from the discount store jungle and a great deal of feeling for the language of his people - direct, laconic, endearing.

In his performances, Friedemann Weise, the self-proclaimed "leading medium of the German satirical pop scene", combines music with his witty and bitingly subtle commentaries on current affairs. WDR 5 listeners also know him from his regular appearances on Satire Deluxe.

The young cabaret artist Teresa Reichl, winner of the Bavarian Cabaret Prize and the German Cabaret Prize, brings a breath of fresh air to the stage and addresses social issues with humor and depth.

Thilo Seibel, winner of the Rostock Koggenzieher in bronze, impresses with his political cabaret, which addresses current issues in a pointed and entertaining way.
