Another cabaret summit at the Pantheon!
Line-up:
Tobias Mann (host)
Fee Brembeck
Philipp Weber
Pigor & Eichhorn
Tobias Mann is a tireless wanderer between the worlds of cabaret and comedy, a punchline blaster, verbal sprinter, fun rocker, nonsense bard and WDR's secret humor weapon. And also winner of the 2017 German Cabaret Award and the Prix Pantheon.
Philipp Weber - cabaret artist, author, polymath
Dear audience! At a time when representatives of the people and shysters of the people are praying about the crisis of bourgeois society, I am practising the most valuable democratic virtue with you - my esteemed guests - in the theater of your choice: humor. After all, aren't comedy, wit and esprit the most dazzling weapons of a defensive democracy? And those who can smile at their thoughts and actions with the necessary irony will not fall victim to their own narrow-mindedness. True democrats primarily laugh at one thing: themselves. So join in the laughter and protect democracy.
The roles are clearly assigned: Pigor sings. Benedikt Eichhorn has to accompany. This division of labor has worked wonderfully for the audience since 1995. Not always for the multiple award-winning experts in elegant spoken word, but the petty war on stage is also part of the program. Thomas Pigor and Benedikt Eichhorn have no regard for sensitivities when they comment on daily politics, everyday idiocy and the zeitgeist with brains, charm and their self-invented, stylistically colorful salon hip-hop.
Fee Brembeck is an artistic grab bag: the cabaret artist, author, budding opera singer and poetry slammer fires up her audience with pointed parodies, rhymed bursts of laughter and sung truths in a soprano voice.
