With the wearables they have designed, Franziska Harnisch and Philipp Valenta use the mechanisms of the clothing industry in their critique of the sector. Consumers use fashion to satisfy their need to stand out from the crowd or adapt to it by expressing their individual personality, beliefs and attitudes through clothing.

All works in the exhibition in the temporary exhibition space of the artspring PopUpStore can be tried on and purchased. In this way, buyers can express their doubts and criticism with the wear&tear collection and appropriate the artist duo's statements by literally wearing them on their bodies and thus bringing criticism of the system into society.
