In 2024, the ORANKELICHTER cultural Christmas market will once again immerse the Orankesee lido in an atmospheric Christmas world by the lake. On the three Advent weekends in December 2024 from 14:00 to 21:00, there will be concerts, fairy tale readings, fire juggling, bonfires on the sandy beach, children's crafts, international delicacies, hot drinks and curling. On Saturday, December 7, the cultural Christmas market, which will be themed around the legends of Iceland in 2024, will kick off with Icelandic Christmas trolls, their stories, as well as treats and gifts.

The stories of the Icelandic Yule Lads will be embodied by the female-fronted performance groups Hammerflausch and Fabula Furiosa. There will also be delicacies and Christmas gifts from the northern island. The jazz band Pommeskätzchen, Das Komponistenviertel, the Orankechor, Emma Greenfield with her children's music program, nadia & Moore, Pyromantics and many others will be on stage. There will also be free children's crafts, food trucks, readings, Christmas karaoke, fire juggling, bonfires by the lake, a wonderfully illuminated lake landscape and lots of stalls for strolling and shopping.
