Weeland elegantly interweave retro soul and rhythm 'n' blues with modern indie soul influences, as known from Michael Kiwanuka, Khruangbin or Alabama Shakes. With singer Esther Cowens, drummer Tommy Baldu, keyboardist Martin Meixner and bassist Martin Stumpf, the collective around guitarist Patrick Wieland unites established greats of the scene who have already worked with artists such as Jan Delay, Max Herre, Max Mutzke, Cro, Roachford and the Fantastischen Vier. Weeland's brand new album "The Soul Provisions" unfolds a captivating range of emotions and timbres - from intimate, soulful ballads to rousing, grooving tracks. Patrick Wieland impressively proves that he is one of the leading German musicians when it comes to striking the right balance between soul, rhythm & blues, pop and a few traces of jazz.
